Exam Pattern :

If I talk about the pattern of this exam then I have brought you the cut outs from this notification itself which is the official notification of NDA from there we will understand by looking at all the things if I talk about the subject then we divide the NDA paper into three parts one paper is of mathematics and this  It is of two and half hours and its total marks are 300. So the mathematics paper is alone and it has 300 marks. The next paper is our general ability test. Its timing is also 2 and 1/2 hours and its marks are 600. So the weightage it carries is 600. If we add both, then our total marks of the written test are 900 marks and the remaining 900 marks are our SSB test or interview. By adding both of them, we are given the remaining 900 marks. So our entire exam is of 1800 marks. Where our written test is of 900 marks and the SSB test is again of 900 marks. In this article, we are going to focus only about the written test. Now if I tell you in the written test also, then sir, first comes mathematics to us. We are getting 300 marks in mathematics. In Mathematics, the marking scheme is a little different as compared to GD test. If I talk about Mathematics, we have a total of 120 questions. In Mathematics, we have 120 questions in which we get 2.5 marks for every correct answer and 83 marks are deducted for every wrong answer. So, in 120 questions, 2.5 marks are given for every right answer and 0.83 marks are deducted for every wrong answer. Our total marks are 300. If I talk about the GATE test, then our GD test is also divided into two parts, first is English and second is General Awareness. A total of 150 questions are asked in GD. In GD, 50 questions are asked in English and the remaining 100 questions are of General Awareness. Here, the marking scheme is different from Mathematics. we get 4 marks and for every wrong answer, 0.83 marks are deducted.  For the answer you will get minus 1.3 marks. So here you will have to answer very carefully but one thing must have become very clear to you that sir if you have prepared for Maths and English then directly Maths and English will give you 500 marks and the remaining marks we have we cover in General Awareness which is of our 400 marks.

Syllabus:

  •  The first paper one is Mathematics which I told you these are some important topics which are asked to us in our paper one. Algebra is asked to us Matrix and Determinate Trigonometry Analytical, Geometry of Two and Three Dimension, Differential Calculus, Integral Calculus and Differential Equations Vector Algebra Statistics and Probability Right now some of these topics also sir, some topics we have studied are general because those who are non-maths students, their  The concern is how to cover maths. So, for non-maths students, I would like to give only one suggestion that the topics that you have studied in generic maths till ninth or tenth, you can easily pick up those topics, right, like algebra or trigonometry or probability, you can see all these questions and you can easily cover this entire syllabus. And for those who are from maths background, then this is a very added advantage, but there is no problem with non-maths students as well. You can make NCERT your base and keep covering all the generic topics. Okay sir, next paper is our paper two in which there is a general ability test and in the general ability test, our first part, part A, is of English and the maximum marks given to it is 200 marks. So, as we have seen, four marks for the right answer, 50 questions, 200 marks. Right sir, if I cover the syllabus in this  If I talk about it, they have given a basic syllabus, they have not defined any particular topics, here they have told that here we have designed the syllabus in such a way that we can understand the understanding of English of the candidate and we can understand the basic usage of English so that if you ever go ahead and you use English, then you can connect with every person, you all know that English has become a common language of communication, then no matter in which part of the country you are living, if you connect with a person of another language, then English is the only medium which helps us to eliminate that barrier, that is why their main focus is that every person should know a general term and English, many Hindi medium students also have this concern that Sir, how do we do English, how do we learn it, but one thing I want to tell you is that whatever SSB interview you have, all of them are in English, so somewhere you will have to learn basic English.  There will be a lot of need and this is generic English like basic grammar, vocabulary, comprehension, etc. in extended text and all these things, they see that how the person knows about generic English or not. Okay sir, next comes our general knowledge test. Okay, one is done. There are two parts in the English GD paper, English and general knowledge test. In the general knowledge test, basically they focus on all the basic topics like physics, chemistry, general science, social studies, geography and current events. If I talk about physics, then its syllabus is very big and the questions of physics are also asked from us a lot. For example, if you see the syllabus of physics, they are talking about physical properties of states and matter, mass, weight, volume, density, motion, talking about heat effect, talking about measurement, talking about gravitation.  We are talking about natural and artificial magnets. We are talking about static current electricity. We are talking about pendulum pulleys, siphons, levers. Almost all the important concepts of physics are asked in this paper. The syllabus of physics is very big and at the same time, there are a lot of questions from physics because in the general knowledge test, every subject has its own weightage with respect to their number of questions. Physics has the highest number of questions. In the general awareness test, we have section B of chemistry where they talk about basic chemistry like physical and chemical changes, choice of elements, mixtures and compounds, symbols, formulas, preparation and properties of hydrogen, oxygen, nitrogen, carbon dioxide and gunpowder, etc. All these questions are asked on all these basic topics of physics, sorry, our topics of chemistry. Okay sir, next we come to general science.  That is a basic science of physics and chemistry, in a basic science mainly their focus is on biology, right their basic is environmental science or you can understand on biology, here the major question that they want to ask is EVS which we all have studied, somewhere they are focusing on that EVS that what are living and non living things, shell tissues growth reproduction basic knowledge about human body about food and about atmosphere all these things right sir next comes our history of freedom movement, about this I have already told you that the syllabus of history is also very waste somewhere they have written a line for us that broad survey of Indian history culture and civilization basically focuses on the whole history of the world and modern and somewhere the major focus of the syllabus is on modern India that the freedom movement related to the British whatever you know movements we have done what all changes have we introduced in the freedom struggle How has our Indian freedom struggle unfolded and later it touches upon some topics of world history as well which starts with the Industrial Revolution, French Revolution, American Revolution and stops at the Russian Revolution.
  •  Next comes our Geography. In Geography also we are asked about basic Geography concepts like Earth, its shape, latitude, longitude, International Date Line, Movement of Earth, Weathering and apart from that, Chemical Changes, Earthquakes and Volcanoes, Ocean Currents, Tides, Wind Cyclones, Regional Geography, like India's climate and what vegetation is found in India, what wildlife is found, the focus is on all these topics. Next comes our Current Events.
  • So in Current Events, Sir, we cannot define anything in the syllabus, NDA has just mentioned this thing that knowledge of all the important events which are happening in India in the recent years and plus which important events are happening in the world.  Events are happening plus who are the current personalities, what major achievements are we getting to see in the cultural and sports sector or major good happenings are we getting to see, now the question arises that sir on which do we have to focus more, so the answer to that thing has also been given to us by NDA where they have very clearly mentioned that out of maximum marks will be assigned to part B of this paper, part B means the paper of general awareness, they have divided the sections that sir 25 questions will come from A, so what does it mean 25 out of 400 we get questions of 100 marks, okay, so we will be asked questions of 100 marks of Physics, right okay sir that means around 25 questions are coming, okay sir 15 marks are coming from part B, it means we have 60 marks and 15 questions are coming from part  C which is General Science, 10 questions are coming from it, does it mean that only 10 questions will be asked from us, 20 questions are coming from History and again 20 questions are also being asked from Geography, which means that Sir, we will be asked approximately 20 questions from these two subjects and lastly comes Current Events, whose weightage they have kept at only 10, which means that we will be asked only 10 questions from Current Affairs also, this is very important for your preparation because you also get a brief idea.
  • From General Awareness that on which parts you have to focus more, that Sir, 25 questions are coming directly from Physics, 15 questions are coming from Chemistry, we are getting 2020 questions from History and Geography, so here you can plan your preparation accordingly, you can give time to your subjects accordingly so that when you go to give the exam So keeping in mind your weightage, give importance to that particular subject and give time to its preparation. Okay, now sir, the NDA exam is going to come very soon and many times many students have a question that sir, from where should we prepare for our NDA, which reference books should we focus on, where will we get this weightage, where will we get PY cues, where will we get MI cues, a short description, how will we get a compilation of all the subjects at one place, we have books available for all the subjects.

How to start preparation for this exam :

  • If you pay attention to every chapter wise, the first thing is that keeping the syllabus in mind, these books have been prepared by your educators and by your content team and chapter wise pressure is theory has been given that chapter wise you have been given a basic theory that if you are not able to read very first, then at least you can read the basic theory chapter wise, apart from that you have practice papers, right at the end of every chapter you have been given questions where you can test your proficiency, questions have been given with examples, you can apply them, you can practice with them  And you can make your preparation stronger. Apart from that, you have chapter wise weightage analytics and this becomes most important that sir, where do we find this thing from? Whatever NDA papers have come in the last five years, the weightage analysis of every paper has been provided to you after every chapter and you have been told how many questions NDA has asked from this particular chapter over the years and how much NDA is interested in this particular chapter and at the end when you are fully preparing, then sir obviously an exam like practice becomes very important and that thing happens in this book series of ours which is being provided to you with the question papers and OMR sheets of the last 15 years, okay see this five year paper analysis, if I talk about mathematics, then in this way our five years paper analysis has been presented topic wise that how many questions have been asked from basic maths over the years, how many questions from approx. over the years  Years have been asked sets of quadratic equations. You will get details according to each chapter so that you can make your preparation more precise and more effective. Apart from that, when you are fully prepared with your static portion, then for you comes our NDA NA Book Mock Test and PYQ. Sir, you are getting 10 mock tests in this book and the paper analysis of PYQ of five years has been given to you. You will get all the PYQs of the last 5 years in one book and along with that you will also get 10 mock tests which will complete your NDA preparation.
  • Here you are not getting a book, with this book you are also getting an OMR booklet. With this booklet, you can get the feel of real time exam and can practice filling OMR in real time and can do time management. If you see, many children are worried about OMR filling. Many times you are filling OMR for the first time and many mistakes happen. You get panicked while filling OMR. You know OMR is so less spaced that sometimes you fill the circle at the wrong place and after that you cannot correct it again. So many times the problem of OMR filling comes but if you are already going after practicing it, you will not face any problem in OMR filling.
  •  You can do time management so that you set a time of two and a half hours and you solve a complete paper. You will become very familiar with the pattern of the exam. You can get real life exam experience at home itself while filling the OMR sheet and you can analyze your performance. You can also eliminate the phobia and anxiety of the exam. Sir, many times we become very phobic about how to give the exam, we get anxious or how will I solve these things. So if you are going after practicing it, then definitely you can pass your exam very well because many times it happens that we do not have the knowledge.  It is completed but since we have so much anxiety in the exam, we become so nervous that we even give the wrong answer to the correct answer, so keeping all these things in mind, this PYQ booklet has been provided to you with OMR sheet right and as I told you that there are more than 48000 questions in these answers,  the NDA first rank holders who came out from here,of them which you can see and you can do an analysis that how we have to do our preparation, the latest September 2023 second paper is also included in this, 10 mock tests with 20 OMR sheets are available and year wise graphic representation is also provided, you can see that the year wise weightage of mathematics has come from different topics is also given, sir how much weightage has been asked, a graphical representation has been given to you so that you can do absolutely great.
