Competition Exams
23 Oct, 2025
IB Jio Admit Card Release Date :
According to our expectations, the exam was scheduled for around October 24th. I had predicted that much, and you all know the reasons why I predicted that. Recently, the IB recruited ACIOs, SAs, and JIOs. All three are combined, and the time allotted for ACIO and SA was approximately 38 to 48 days, or 40 days. So, we thought we'd get the same amount of time for JIO. However, the number of candidates for JIO is very low. Around 100,000 students have already filled out the form. The reason is that they believe the exam won't be conducted in multiple shifts.
Syllabus :
We can complete the exam in a single shift. JIO or I'd say that SA and ACIO had multiple shifts because of the large number of candidates. Students received around 40 days there, but JIO didn't. Finally, JIO gave us 30 days to prepare. Now, when we were given 30 days, the students prepared. If you remember how long I taught the students who studied, and how many things I did. But now, I want you to know that if you've worked hard in these last three days, I'd like to share some very important things with you. We have a weighting based on how similar questions were asked last year, and the number of questions was so high. The point is that a computer science student may have a strong computer science degree, but somehow they haven't quite mastered electrical and electronics.
An electrical student may have a good command of electrical and electronics, but they haven't mastered computer science. So, the point is, every child has a strong command of their respective fields, but they haven't been as strong in other fields. I'll give you a tip today. If you're taking the IV GIO exam, aim for the highest score in your reasoning section, within 25. After that, aim for your current stream, and then choose your second stream. The cutoff won't be too high. Exams that ask questions from multiple branches typically have a low cutoff, and last year, you'll see selections with 35-40 marks. But this time, it won't be that low because there are fewer vacancies, and applicants are studying a little more because we've taught them, so applicants now have a good understanding. Now, the point is, which subjects should you focus on at the last minute? So, focus should be on these. But if I were to focus more on one topic, you'd see approximately 12-13 questions from Basic Electronics (Analogue and Digital) in the paper. There were also 12 questions from Network, Theory of Control. So, if I were to look at these four chapters in detail, or at Measurement, Power Electronics in detail, you'd see 9-10. After 11, 12, 13, it became 17, seven, 24, and 10, 34 questions were asked only from a particular portion of electricity.
Then PLC also comes in. SCADA also comes in, and along with that, 14 questions from our communication also come in. So, if I talk about approximately 75, then 40 to 45 questions were related to electrical and electronics only. Even around 45 questions were related to electrical and electronics. There may be a difference of one or two more or less. And the remaining 25 to 30 questions were related to computer science. So now I have made this plan for you guys at the last moment. Now these are the subjects. But now, within these subjects also, there are some things that are important topics. For example, if I talk about control systems, I think questions might arise from open-loop, closed-loop control systems, or first-order control systems. If I talk about network theory, questions might arise from superposition, maximum power, or Theinian's theorem. If I talk about digital electronics, questions might arise about logic gates and muxes. If I talk about analogue electronics, questions might arise related to semiconductor devices. Questions will come.
Let's talk about measurement. In measurement, I think a question on CRO might come up this time. After that, if we talk about it, we might be asked questions on PLC. After that, we might be asked questions on resistance, inductors, capacitors, frequency measurement, and error analysis. So, each subject has specific important topics from which questions can be asked. And for this, I'm going to bring you three days of continuous revision. Complete Revision One, Complete Revision Two, and Complete Revision Three. Within this complete revision, you'll find all the important topics from which you're likely to see questions. Every student who is going to take the IB JIO exam today should definitely watch my regular classes. After this, I will take it tomorrow on the 13th and 14th and then on the 15th, I will send you to give the paper. All of you have your paper on the 15th. Today, I'm bringing you a series of important topics and their important questions from all these subjects. This will be a three-day series. It's very exciting. The 12th, 13th, and 14th .
