The SSC CGL is an exam that offers both desk and field positions . SSC CGL is one such exam that offers desk jobs like ASO , Assistant Section Officer, Central Secretariat Services, Ministry of Foreign Affairs, and Ministry of Information and Technology. Electronics and Technology. Furthermore, there's the Ministry of Railways. The Intelligence Bureau also offers ASO positions for auditors, accountants, and clerks . Although these vacancies haven't been available for the past two years, there are tax departments and non-tax departments. Tax departments include direct tax departments, indirect tax departments, and enforcement. But beyond that, non-tax departments include police jobs, postal inspector jobs, and within the police, there are the CBI, the Narcotics Control Bureau, or the Central Bureau of Narcotics.

SSC CGL Eligibility :

Now, the question is, if we prepare for all of these, are we eligible for 2025? Eligibility criteria are most important, and these criteria will be evaluated in two ways. The notification for this exam will be released on June 9th. It will be considered ssc cgl eligibility 12th percentage and ssc cgl eligibility graduation percentage.

Form submission will begin on June 9th. Form submission will continue until July 4th  and that will be the last date for fee submission. Yes, they haven't yet provided a date for making the corrections . So, when the official notification comes, the date will also be announced for the necessary steps to make the corrections . The real issue lies here. People of what age and what educational qualifications can apply for this position. Furthermore, eligibility criteria include age relaxation. So, how much benefit will OBC, SC , ST, disabled and ex-servicemen receive from this age relaxation? So, friends, remember one date.

If I were to take you through the eligibility criteria, that date would be August 1, 2025. Anyone taking the exam on this date, August 1, 2025 , must be between 18 and 30 years old for any Group B post. For those seeking an ASO (Assistant Section Officer), they must be between 20 and 30 years old for positions in the Ministry of Railway External Affairs, Armed Forces Headquarters, and CBI Sub-Inspector positions.

SSC CGL age limit general and SSC CGL age limit obc :

Candidates between the ages of 18 and 32 can apply for the Junior Statistical Officer position, and for all Group C positions, officers between the ages of 18 and 27 can apply. But let's look at the issue here again: when I say all this, I'm talking about the unreserved category, meaning those in the general category. Yes. Now you know that OBCs also get relaxation. SCs and STs also get relaxation.

They get relaxation of three and five years respectively. And besides this, friends, you also know that children with disabilities get relaxation. And ex-servicemen also get this age relaxation. You know that ex-servicemen get relaxation for 3 years plus their age, whichever they have spent on duty. Plus, if they are in the ex-servicemen category, they also get the category benefit, and the ex- servicemen get the benefit for 3 years plus the age they have spent in service. So, the bottom line is that we all know this . Here's the age requirement in the eligibility criteria, and I'll explain it to you once . Just like, let me give you an example.

SSC CGL after 12th salary :

For example, a Group B post. Pay Level 7 jobs are available in Group B and Pay Level 7 jobs such as ASO, ASO in CSS, ASO in IB, ASO in Ministry of Railways , ASO in External Affairs, ASO in Armed Forces Headquarters, ASO in MeitY i.e. Ministry of Electronics and Information Technology and ASO in other ministries and departments . Even the Income Tax Inspector which we People are talking about. In all of this, the criteria is that only students under 30 can apply. Only candidates under 30 can apply. So, you understand, the child party, that on August 1, 2025, the age will be determined, and only candidates will be able to apply based on that age.

Those who received age relaxation based on their category are eligible. Now the question arises: tell me, you got age relaxation in the SSC CGL, but which exam should you have cleared ? What is the minimum qualification? What is the educational qualification included in the eligibility criteria? This is also an issue .

Remember, the educational qualification is graduation. So, you should definitely pay attention to this graduation educational qualification . Anyone without a bachelor's degree cannot apply . Remember, when the notification came out, just like the last one, they said you must have completed your graduation by August 10, 2025. Because if you haven't applied by the correction date, you won't be able to apply. If you've entered your graduation date, it's fine. Otherwise, non-graduates can't apply. I 'm saying it again, it doesn't matter if you're in your final year. You must have your graduation degree before the form correction or your third-year results before the form correction . Third year means final year. Third year is for some bachelor's courses, like B.Sc. and B.A., which are three years long. Engineering courses, for example, are four years long . Is that clear? So, not for appearing, remember that you should have your final-year results by the time you make the corrections . The notification will come soon, and we'll get more clarity on this . What I 'm talking about last time was similar. So, ultimately, look, kids , how should you prepare? First, let me tell you that if you want to get selected in so many positions, you 'll have to take Tier 1 first . You 'll have to take Tier 2.

SSC CGLSyllabus :

If you look at the exam pattern for Tier 1 and Tier 2, Tier 1 is purely qualifying in nature . You'll be asked a total of 100 questions, totaling 200 marks. Each question will carry two marks. 25 each means you'll get 60 minutes for Reasoning, General Knowledge, Math, and English.

If you get one question wrong, you'll lose 0.5 marks, meaning you'll earn two marks if you get 1/4 right. So, the simple thing is that there's a battle for 100 questions for 200 marks. I believe those in the unreserved category will have to score above 150 , if we use the basic criteria, only then will they be able to qualify.

Secondly, if we talk about Tier 2, everyone will have to take Paper 1. Everyone will have to take Paper 1. And even in this, you'll see that merit is determined by combining Section 1 and Section 2. Math, Reasoning, English, and General Knowledge .

There are 30, 45, and 25 questions for Math, Reasoning, English, and General Knowledge, respectively . So if you look at the total, there are 130 questions, one question is worth three marks. This Tier 2 section one and two have a total of 390 marks. Out of this 390, target 350 plus so that you can get your desired job.

Secondly, 23% weightage of Maths, 23% of Reasoning, 35% of English and 19% of GA is given in your selection. And then as far as section three in Paper 2 is concerned, it is again of qualifying nature. It is of qualifying nature. Meaning you will have to qualify in Computer. 20 questions will be asked. You must get at least 15 out of 20 correct.

In the data entry speed test, you'll have to make 2,000 key depressions. You 'll have to press the key 2,000 times. Within that, your mistakes should be less than 5% within 15 minutes . So, this is our understanding of Paper One. Then there's Paper Two and Paper Three. Paper Two, the child part of this, is about statistics. Those applying for the GSO position will have to take a separate paper of 100 questions and 200 marks.

If they have statistics as a subject in their graduation or have above 60% in mathematics in 12th grade, they can apply . Those with PCM apply for the JSO position. The Ministry of Statistics and Program Implementation (MOSPI) has a JSO position.

If you start preparing today, you might understand what you need to do by the 2025 SSC CGL exam, and 2026 might become your primary target.
